This talk was given at a local TEDx event, produced independently of the TED Conferences. Lara Alexiou gives a personal story about her experiences with the body as a structure of that can either stand strong, or crumble. Lara Rubin Alexiou is originally from Bryn Mawr, PA and a Temple University graduate. Owner of Steamtown Yoga, Lara certified in Bikram Yoga in 2003, Barkan Method Hot Vinyasa Levels 2/3 in 2008 and 2014 and has over 500 hours of Medical Qigong certification with Zen Wellness. Lara is excited to address the broader perspectives of space and architecture: space within the body and the mind, the architecture of the body, and how someone's outer world and what someone creates on the physical level is a reflection of their inner world. About TEDx, x = independently organized event In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
She is a special woman. Her husband is as well.
