Explaining the really basic charging settings for your iMax Charger and basic charging of lipos. This is a help video for a friend that is starting out in the multirotor world.
I bought one of these a while ago and it has never worked properly. It will charge up to a point then the amps will drop to 0.1 and then suddenly discharge the battery. I can leave it for hours and it won't stop. Also the voltages it shows are wrong when I test the battery with a multi meter. I have a genuine one. Just a waste of money that was highly recommended.
My battery is an 800 mAh LiPo with powerpoles and balance socket. Does anyone know what I need to convert from B6AC output cable to powerpole?
A friend told me to charge it using only the balance socket but I'm not too sure about that.
Thanks, the one i have searched for. :)
where your pants at
why do you have a room full of bombs?
i have bought a fake imax....all them 4 buttons have the same function...took me 2-3 months waiting for delivery lol,.,.from Banggood
Hello, so if I have a 9000mAh battery but the max rate in my charger is 6A, I put it in 6A?
Sorry but I’m still having trouble. Can we chat on Facebook so you can guide me in this again? My name is Daniel Paul Goff or DP Goff. I can send you pictures of my incorrect display or my mistake.
For fication 1000 mAh must 1 Ampere
Can you charge at less than 1C, say for slowly charging 10Amp batteries?
you shouldnt balance charge fat shark batteries!
Great video and thanks!
Would you happen to know what the Ohms should be on a fully charged 2700 mah 7.4v Lipo?
I have the same charger and some Hubsan lipos, but can’t seem to figure out what a good reading would be, indicating that my batteries are still healthy...
If you know, or know how I could accomplish this, I’d be forever grateful!
Thanks!
How many cells can this charger/discharger handle?
Does anyone know hoe to charge D cells (1,2V 10000mah) with this charger?I cant figure out how to get the right settings,Thanks very much for answering!
Nice review!
Never recommend to charge lipo batteries more than 1C. Those little 1S batteries have such a small connection that the mAh is more than enough to charge it at. If it's 300mAh, charge it at 1C. Even those big lipo batteries, charge it at 1C. Slower charge=longer life span=less likely for fires.
did you mean .45 on the 1s lipo? You said 4.5. Thats what a 4500mah lipo would need. Thanks for the video. I just got this charger a few days ago, now off to use it for the first time. :)
what is the difference between this charger and the mini?
I just used this charger for the first time. Question: Is it normal for the batteries to charge a lot cooler in balanced mode compared to using a simple charger that came with my drone?
Thanks , great instructions
