Thanks a lot for this test, perhaps it would have been even better if the clips had been recorded without showing us the woods of the keyboard and neck (basically in the dark) and only after giving some of our opinion in the comments, let us know....so yes, the answers would have been more truthful! Because, in my opinion, sight greatly influences what our hearing actually perceives...
I prefer the sound of rosewood on mahogany but on certain pickup combos
The mahogany neck was very interesting. I liked it
This is a great video, but if only the audio bitrate could be increased, or even better, if it could use FLAC for maximum quality. It's almost certain that some audio data are being lost, even if the sound is isolated and a good codec is used. Then, of course, it also depends on the quality of the recording and listening equipment.
Cool video. I was looking at getting a custom built bass and have been looking online at different body/neck woods. I always thought rosewood sounded chunkier than maple fretboards. But I don't hear much of a difference in your test. Mahogany does sound like it loses bite and clarity compared to the maple/maple neck.
All nice sounds to be honest ? Agree the body wood is more important interesting video
Maple/Rosewood was my favorite throughout. Mahogany/Rosewood was too muddy and the all Maple too spanky. No surprises there really. Would be interested to see how an Ebony board compares.
I couldn't tell any difference worth worrying about, like you said much more difference in the different bodies you tested. I wonder if an ebony fretboard would notice at all, probably not - but have you tested that?
why didn't you do a mahogany body with a maple neck?

How about Maple fingerboard on Mahogany Neck? How it will sound like?
missing rosewood neck with rosewood fretboard and mahogany neck with maple fretboard
this comparison deserve a subscribe!
Why is mahogany not available as an option for bass necks?
My favorite all around was Mahogany/Rosewood. On the body wood shootout you did I also preferred the Mahogany. Thanks for doing these videos. Very helpful.
Definitely the maple/rosewood, it has a great balance of fullness/warmth but also projection
I didnt think that the neck material will make a difference but it did
Do you still know what the body wood was? I like the Maple & Maple combination the best but now I'm wondering what the body wood is.
Again....very subtle difference. Which, as far as I'm concerned is a good thing. I was putting a LOT of stock into those decisions. I heard the biggest difference between the maple and mahogany. The mahogany sounded warmer to me. But, that's how I viewed the body video. Another great video, thanks for taking the time to do these incredibly helpful videos!!!!
