I thought google autocorrecting vi to emacs was just a joke 😮
I switched from VS Community to Jetbrains Rider for C# development and my happiness and productivity increased by like 100%
The fact that Google recommends emacs for "vi" searches and vi for "emacs" searches had me dying 😂
I really like JetBrains products, however, once I found out I could do glowing syntax in VSCode, I never looked back. youtube.com/results?search_query=%23jetbrainsgivemeneon #JetBrainsGiveMeNeon

I tried VSCode with Python and worked excellent. Then I tried C/C++ and wasn't able to compile. I tried several official and unofficial guide and none worked.
I'll just keep with the old Code;Blocks which works fine for C/C++ without any special needs (only setting the minGW compiler for the first time).
you forgot about ed

No Gimp?
I like to use vscode with the vim plug-in; makes coding mainly keyboard based, but with lots of options with all the other extensions and whatnot as opposed to just using vim
Noone is using vi now, everyone is using vim or even neovim which has all of advantages of vi, but does support all modern features such syntax highlight, plugins, autocomplete, go to defenition, spelling, you name it.
Think about this
anybody still using netbeans or eclipse these days?
