Please can someone help me. I’ve got a 2014 anniversary studio. Are studio’s good les Paul’s. People always seem to go for standards but I haven’t got that sought of money. Is my studio worth upgrading or should I just sell it on????
Like Bradford Murray below I picked up a 1990 wine red LP studio about 15 years ago and it's one of my fave guitars to play... slim C neck ebony fretboard and all mahogany construction. Singing high tones and a bottom end that shakes the floor boards. One of the best buys I ever made.
All the 2015 models had the wide neck, not just the Studio. In 2016, I bought a SH 2012 Studio then decided I didn't like it much, put it back in its case and left there. Then about 3 months ago I thought I might sell it. So I got it out and began to fall in love with. Now I can't bring myself to sell it!
Love my '92 Studio Lite with ebony fretboard and 500t pickup. Broken/repaired neck, but I love it still.
I had a Gibson Les Paul Studio from 2020 and loved it. I regret I sold it but it played nice and had a good thick tone for recording. I’m hoping to pick one up used now. Great demo!
I have a 13 traditional and an 07 studio. They sound so different to me. The studio doesn’t have as much treble response (probably being all mahogany & chambered) but I get a great tone out of it, especially after upgrading to 500k pots. The traditional fits like a glove in my hand with the big chunky neck and is a beauty to look at. When people say tele on steroids, I know what they mean after owning this beast. I love them both and I don’t think I could part with either one 👌
Glad you found the ones that worked for you. I couldn’t really tell a difference when you played them all back to back 😝
As all gibsons,overpriced
I have a 2021 studio and it's my favorite of 6 other Gibson's. Even my 2022 modern.
Gary moore loves them like this🙂👌
Man, you had a lot of Gibson's.
What is that right your playing, love it
Thank you
I have a $150 Yamaha OM guitar with a "cut-away"
I’m looking at the exact guitar but a 2017
That's the 2013 studio?
I do notice a slight difference on the output , problay just the pickups
I've got an old wine red coloured 1990 Les Paul Studio with an ebony fingerboard I got a few years back. I like it because it sounds as good as some Customs (maybe because of the ebony finger board) and is solid. Has trapezoid inlays. I like the Gibsons from the 1990s.
love the studios- justy dont looka s fanvy buy pasy and sound as good as $4k Gibsons- the necks on the ones with the brass nuit artent my fave
