Major general Gagandeep Bakshi SM, VSM or G. D. Bakshi (born 1950 in Jabalpur) is a retired Indian army officer. He is from the Jammu and Kashmir Rifles. He was awarded the Vishisht Seva Medal for commanding a battalion in the Kargil War. Later, he was awarded the Sena Medal for distinguished service in commanding a battalion during counter-terrorism drives. He subsequently commanded the Romeo Force(Part of elite Rashtriya Rifles) during intensive counter-terrorist operations in the Rajouri-Poonch districts of Jammu and Kashmir and succeeded in pacifying the area(These districts come in Pir panjal range and has a mix of Hindu and muslim population but in 90s terrorist tried their level best to ethnically cleanse Hindu like they did with hindu pandits in Kashmir and push them further south but thanks to Army they failed in the mission ). He has served two tenures at the Directorate General of Military Operations and was the first BGS (IW) at HQ Northern Command (India), where he dealt with Information Warfare and Psychological Operations. Lieutenant General Kanwal Jeet Singh Dhillon, PVSM, UYSM, YSM, VSM is a retired General Officer of the Indian Army. He served as the Director General Defence Intelligence Agency and Deputy Chief of Integrated Defence Staff (Intelligence) under the Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) from 9 March 2020 to 31 January 2022. Gen Dhillon last served as the 48th Commander of the XV Corps of the Indian Army. He is an alumnus of National Defence Academy, Khadakwasla & Indian Military Academy, Dehradun. He graduated from the Defence Services Staff College, Wellington, and the National Defence College, Delhi. Lt Gen Dhillon was commissioned in December 1983 in Rajputana Rifles and has had an illustrious military career spanning 39 years is credited with important appointments at the Army Headquarters and instructional appointments at Infantry School, Mhow, and Indian Army training team abroad. He has an incisive understanding of Jammu and Kashmir, as he served there for five tenures since 1988 with notable being sector commander of Rashtriya Rifles and Brigadier General Staff of the Chinar Corps. Before taking over as the Chinar Corps Commander, the General Officer was tenanting the appointment of Director General Perspective Planning. He was appointed as the Colonel of the Regiment of Rajputana Rifles on September 21, 2019, when he took over from Lt Gen Abhay Krishna. He retired from Service on January 31,2022 handing over the reigns to his successor Lt.Gen. CP Cariappa as the Colonel of Regiment of Rajputana Rifles. Lieutenant General Raj Shukla, PVSM,YSM, SM, ADC is a retired General Officer of the Indian Army who served as the General Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Army Training Command (GOC-in-C ARTRAC). He assumed office on 1 May 2020, succeeding Lt Gen P C Thimayya. He superannuated on 31 March 2022. Shukla is an alumnus of Uttar Pradesh Sainik School Lucknow , National Defence Academy Khadakwasla Pune and Indian Military Academy. Shukla was commissioned into the Regiment of Artillery in December 1982. He has also attended the Defence Services Staff College, the Higher Defence Management Course at the College of Defence Management and the National Defence College. Shukla has commanded a Medium Regiment in the Eastern theatre as part of a Mountain Division. He later took the regiment to the Desert as part of a Strike Corps. He has also commanded an Infantry brigade in Counter-insurgency operations and an infantry division in the Kashmir Valley, along the Line of Control. He is a qualified aviator and has flown along the borders in Sikkim and in the North–East. In his staff appointments, Shukla has served as the General Staff Officer, Grade I (GSO-I) of an infantry division as well as two tenures in the Military Operations directorate at Army Headquarters. He has also served in instructional appointments in the School of Artillery and the Indian Military Training Team in Bhutan. On 5 July 2018, Shukla took command of the X Corps at Bhatinda from Lt Gen P C Thimayya. After an year's stint at the helm of X Corps, he relinquished command on 30 July 2019, handing over to Lt Gen Ajai Singh. He subsequently took over as the Director General Perspective Planning (DGPP) at Integrated Headquarters of the Ministry of Defence. On 1 May 2020, Shukla took over as the General Officer Commanding-in Chief Army Training Command from Lt Gen P C Thimayya.
