Dear Traditional Lifers, This Video is EP20 You are going to watch 2 days of our routine in this video, On the 1st day noon Valar has started preparations to make Idli batter for the next day breakfast, so in the morning itself she has soaked all the ingredients needed to make Idli batter cox all those should be soaked up to 5 hours then after doing some works she has started grinding batter by our Tamil tradition method using stone grinder, meanwhile I was in our land in the preparation to plant rice plants next day and while returning home I have got a special item for Valar given by my aunt, it’s her favourite so she enjoyed apply it on her hands (Henna) We slept after finishing our dinner, forgot to say-henna looks very beautiful on Valar’s hand :) On the next day morning, I requested some of our villagers to come to our land to plant rice plants so they arrived around 7 and started planting it meanwhile Valar started cooking idli and the side dishes (idli sambar, coconut chutney and green chutney) not just for words- really all those tastes fantastic, usually I feel mixing coconut chutney with idli sambar and taking with Dosa feels yummy but this time I felt green chutney mixed with idli sambar tastes superb, I must say this- you should try this combination to feel YES IT’S GOOD, after finishing our breakfast together I went to our land & joined hands with our villagers to produce rice! 🌱Also we plant a tree in this video on behalf of you “For us and for our earth against Global Warming”, In upcoming videos we will be planting trees regularly and just imagine these tress are belongs to you🌱 The Traditional Life, Is Happy to share that we are creating “An Organic Food Forest”, As a symbol of Your Love & Support.. This Aloo Idli recipe is a unique recipe that you would never have tried before. This aloo idli recipe is an instant recipe made with raw potatoes and rawa. The aloo idli recipe make around 20 very soft, spongy, delicious Aloo idlis. Along with the aloo idli recipe, I have also shared with you a spicy chutney recipe. This chutney is made with red chilies, garlic and sesame seeds. This spicy chutney complements the aloo idli very well. Try out this unique aloo idli recipe at home and let me know how you liked it! Thank you for watching! 💫 And don’t forget to subscribe here: 🤍 Recipe : Aloo Idli & Chutney Preparation Time: 10 minutes Cooking Time: 10 minutes Serves: 3-4 Ingredients: 2 large potatoes 1 cup Semolina (rava) ½ cup curd 2 tbsp oil 1 tsp mustard 1 tsp cumin seeds 1 tbsp chana dal 2 tbsp chironji 10-12 cashews 7-8 curry leaves (chopped) 2 green chillies (finely chopped) 1 tsp salt 2 tbsp coriander (finely chopped) 2 tsp eno fruit salt Chutney: 12 whole red chilies ¼ cup sesame seeds ¼ cup garlic ½ tsp mustard seeds ½ tsp chana dal ½ tsp urad dal 4-5 curry leaves 1 tsp salt 3 tbsp oil Method: heat oil in as pan. Add the mustard seeds, cumin seeds, chana dal, chopped curry leaves, chopped green chilies & chironji. Add the rava and roast on medium flame for about 2 minutes. Set aside to cool. Peel the potatoes and cut into cubes. Blend the potatoes and 2 green chilies to make a smooth paste. Add the prepared potato puree to the rawa. Add the, yoghurt, salt and coriander leaves. Mix well and rest for 1o minutes till the rava absorbs the moisture well. Add water to adjust the consistency of the batter to a dropping consistency. Add 2 tsp eno and mix gently. Pour the batter in greased idli plates and steam the idlis for 15 minutes. Enjoy aloo idli with chutney. For the chutney: Soak the red chilies in hot water for 20 minutes. Lightly roast the sesame seeds till lightly coloured. Grind together the soaked red chilies, garlic, sesame seeds, chana dal, 1 tsp salt and ¼ cup water to make a coarse paste. Heat 3 tbsp oil in a pan. add in the chana dal, urad dal , curry leaves and allow the dals to turn golden. Add the prepared paste and saute for 4-5 minutes over low heat till the chutney is fragrant and the oil begins to show on the sides of the pan. Please take a moment to like and subscribe ✿◕ ‿ ◕✿ 🤍 MadhurasRecipe Marathi Whatsapp Number - 9112934976 Ingredients: • 2 cups Rice • 1 cup Urad dal • 1 tsp Methi seeds • 1 cup Pohe • 1 tbsp Salt Method: • Take rice into a bowl and wash it really good with water for 2-3 times. • Add water and soak the rice for 4 hours. • Take urad dal and add methi seeds. • Mix well and wash them really good with water 2-3 times. • Add water and soak for 4 hours. • Take pohe and wash with water. Soak for just about 5 minutes. • Take the dal out into a blender pot and add water. • Blend well into fine paste. Transfer the batter into a pot. • Take rice and pohe in a blender pot and blend into a little coarse batter. • Take the rice batter out into the dal batter. • Take a whisk and mix well for about 4-5 minutes. • Cover and ferment the batter for 10-12 hours. • Add salt and mix well. • Take the idly stand and grease it well with oil. • Add the batter in each mould and leave some space for idly to puff up. • Arrange the idly in crisscross pattern. • It means idly in upper dish should come in between 2 lower idlies. • Add 1”water in idly cooker and put the idly pot in it. • Steam the idlies on medium heat for 20 minutes. • Let it rest for 5 minutes more. • Take the idly pot out of idly cooker and rest for 5 minutes more. • Take the idlies out. Idlies are already. • Serve with hot sambar and khobaryachi chutney. Tip: • Pohe help in making idly nice, soft and spongy. If you don’t want to add pohe, you can use 1/2 cup boiled rice. It is amongst the popular choices for breakfast or evening snack. This recipe video details step by step recipe of making soft and fluffy Idli, delicious sambar and tasty coconut chutney. To make soft and fluffy chutney, we need good quality idli rice, urad dal and methi seeds. I have used Idli rice which is thick, unpolished urad dal of Tata Sampann and good quality methi seeds. Tata Sampann Urad dal is unpolished and without any artificial shine, the way nature intended, and it provides plant-based nutrition. For Sambar I have used red chilli from Tata Sampann made from whole chillies which have natural oils.
