I've built a few Raspberry Pi NASes in my day, but none were *this* nice. The Wiretrustee SATA is listed on Crowd Supply and will allow you to plug in a Raspberry Pi Compute Module 4 and up to four SATA hard drives or SSDs to build your own gigabit NAS. Распаковку этого комплекта я уже делал вместе с остальной массой посылок на днях - 🤍 - а заказать такой же комплект вы сможете тут на Али у этого продавца - 🤍 - там есть комплекты и под 3.5" HDD, и под 2.5" HDD (и под 2х 2.5" HDD), и даже под разные NVMe - в зависимости от того, что вам надо подключить. Лучше брать комплектом сразу все платы, корпус и БП - это будет гарантия того, что все шнурки, обвес, болтики будут в комплектте и вы ничего не забудите. Почему я брал именно 3.5" HDD, а не 2.5"? - потому что 3.5" диски однозначно быстрее, а SSD устанавливать смысла нет, поскольку ограничением будет сам процесс подключения платы диска к материнке Pi через USB и после - сетка на 1Гбит/сек - что больше 225МБ/сек не даст - а это как раз и есть максимальная скорость работы Seagate IronWolf NAS 6TB, которые я уже тестировал и юзаю для USB RAID хранилища, про хранилище и тесты Seagate IronWolf смотрите здесь - 🤍 . Но, вернемся к собственно комплекту - оказалось, что второй Raspberry Pi не прислали в ходе акции - которая была на 10 лет АлиЭкспресс - а именно тогда я и покупал себе все показанные тут 🤍 подарочки - за что большое спасибо продавцу. А вот за что его не очень похвалишь - так это за то, что вместе с посылкой не было никакой документации по сборке или хотя бы ссылки на то, где смотреть... Собственно, если кто-то из "неофитов" захочет прикупить себе на энтузиазме такой же комплект и собрать все в рабочее состояние - может просто попалить платы. Кстати, и даже в самой официальной документации на плату для 3.5" HDD - 🤍 - тоже много важных нюансов, которые указаны "мелким почерком" и пропустив которые - можно запросто попалить платы. Так что при сборке лучше трижды убедитесь, что вы все разъемы подключили, как надо и все джамперы выставили в нужные позиции, а лишние - убрали. И да, я совершенно не знаю, в чем был прикол с первым стартом, но после девайс работает совершенно безсбойно уже вторые сутки. И как раз про тесты и про настройку и конфигурирование правильного ПО для NAS на примере OpenMediaVault (OMV) речь пойдет во втором видео про NAS на Raspberry Pi 4... Just a quick video on how to easily mod your super cheap 2.5" SATA USB adapters to work with 3.5" HDDs. Note, try this at your own risk and I cannot be held responsible if you happen to damage anything. Double check polarity and wiring before plugging in any drive to prevent damage. I have so far used this method to read and write to two different drives and it works perfectly for me but I cannot guarantee this will work for all drives or setups. Also if you use this to power a bare drive like I demo in this video, be super careful not to bump or disrupt the drive when it is operating as this can cause a head crash which is irreparable. With all that out of the way hopefully this will come in handy to someone else! I've posted a link for Ebay purchase referrals.
