😃Dmitry: 🤍 🎥Copenhagen Street Food Tour: 🤍 👕T-shirts and caps: 🤍 MOSCOW, RUSSIA - First time in Russia, and I was very excited to be in Moscow, and go on an ultimate Russian food tour of Moscow. Get ready to eat everything from a sturgeon cooked for the Russian Kings to the most epic beef stroganoff in Moscow on this ultimate Russian food tour. Big thank you to Dmitry from Value of the Moment (🤍 for taking us around Moscow. Check him out for tours in Russia, especially in and around Murmansk. Here’s where we ate in Moscow on this Russian food tour: Grand Cafe Dr. Jhivago (🤍 - Located right across the street from the Red Square, this is a legendary cafe in Moscow. You immediately feel the luxury Russian style here - with its red and pure white interior. Food was delicious, and a great place for breakfast to get this Russian food tour started. 3,430 RUB ($53.78) - Total price for everything Red Square and The Moscow Kremlin - Easily the most important and famous area of Moscow is the Red Square, home to the Moscow Kremlin. This is the center of the city, where all roads lead, and where the heads of Russian government live. There’s nothing like walking around the Red Square, and also seeing the amazing sight of St. Basil's Cathedral. Soviet Ice Cream and Stolovaya 57 (🤍 - Located on the edge of Red Square is the GUM shopping mall and within the mall, you’ll find an old ice cream shop that serves an original Soviet recipe for ice cream. It’s worth a stop and pretty good. Additionally, Stolovaya 57 is a Soviet food canteen and one of the budget food options at Red Square, Moscow. 665 RUB ($10.43) Cafe Pushkin (🤍 - To contrast our Soviet meal, we then went to Cafe Pushkin, a luxurious Russian restaurant, and a symbol of a luxury home. The setting is incredible and the food and service lived up to its name. Here is where you’ll find one of the best versions of Russian beef stroganoff on earth, and a type of sturgeon (a sterlet) stuffed with crab that was a symbolic food of the Tsars of Russia - Russian Kings! An amazing meal, fantastic service, and iconic restaurant. 10,980 RUB ($172.15) - Total price Danilovsky Market (🤍 - Moscow, Russia - Next up on this Russian food tour, we headed to Danilovsky Market, a large farmers market, to explore and we sampled some delicious pickles. Varenychna №1 (🤍 - Soviet Restaurant - To end this Moscow food tour, we went to one more Soviet restaurant, this time, a Soviet style apartment. Again, food was delicious, with an array of dishes from around the former Soviet Union. An amazing day and Russian food tour in Moscow! Heading to a 'Stolovaya' or canteen to try some typical Russian food. You can find Stolovaya's (or typical Russian / Soviet cafe's) all over the former Soviet Union, from Ukraine to Kazakhstan, and they are the best place to try local favourites at the best prices. These typical Russian food halls have all sorts to choose from; from Ukrainian Borsch, to Russian Olivier salad, Solyanka soup and Chicken Kiev with mash potato. The food in these Stolovaya are typical of what an average Russian family would eat at home. We went to a fairly new one in the centre of Adler (Sochi) but they come in all forms, from the modern to the more Soviet. 🇷🇺 - Support our channel HERE 😊 - 🤍 🤍 - For business enquiries - business🤍mattandjulia.co.uk - Our Travel Gear - 🤍 We get all of our music for our vlogs from Epidemic Sound - 30 DAYS FREE HERE - 🤍 We make all of our thumbnails HERE - 🤍 - You can also, find us here: WEBSITE: 🤍 INSTAGRAM: 🤍 PATREON: 🤍 BUYMEACOFFEE: 🤍 TIKTOK: 🤍 YOUTUBE: 🤍 TWITTER: 🤍 - 🎵 Music: All the music in this video comes from here: 🤍 - #russia #food #travel #foodvlog #travelvlog #russian #food #russianfood A TYPICAL CANTEEN IN RUSSIA | What do food Russian people eat? 🇷🇺

The Soviet Union took shape after a series of revolutions during the early 20th century. Characterized by some of its best-known leaders, namely Vladimir Lenin and Josef Stalin, the Soviet Union spanned thousands of miles and was made up of hundreds of ethnic groups. As the administrative and cultural hub of the Soviet Union, Russia was the largest socialist republic. After WWII, Soviet Russia and the whole of the Soviet Union found itself under the authoritarian rule of Josef Stalin, the dictator who implemented collectivist policies, gulags, and other repressive tactics to maintain his power. Standards of living declined and people struggled to survive, often scrounging for whatever food they could find. #SovietUnion #JosefStalin #WeirdHistory
🎥Ultimate Moscow Food Tour: 🤍 😃Dmitry: 🤍 👕T-shirts and caps: 🤍 SUZDAL, RUSSIA - Outside of Moscow, we headed to the Russian countryside in search of delicious home-style Russian food and especially for a chance to try the Russian steam bath, known as a banya, or sauna. #Russia #RussianFood Big thank you to Dmitry from Value of the Moment (🤍 for taking us around Moscow. Check him out for tours in Russia, especially in and around Murmansk. Pechki-Lavochki - Russian countryside lodge - This is where we headed first, an amazing rustic lodge in the countryside, and known for its farm and banya (sauna). We started by cooking lunch, which they had prepared some local Russian dishes, including a soup of cabbage and pork cooked in a hot fire oven, and a selection of pickled wild mushrooms, along with a selection of Russian vodka and drinks. The food was delicious! Next we went into Suzdal to do some sightseeing, visiting some churches and museums of heritage. We visited the Museum of Wooden Architecture and the Suzdal Kremlin, both of which were impressive. Ogurets Restaurant - Suzdal, Russia - Next we had a snack at Ogurets Restaurant, a restaurant that translates to cucumber. The food was pretty good, but not as good as the home-cooked food we had before. We returned to Pechki-Lavochki, the Russian lodge, to eat Russian pancakes and some desserts, and finally for the main event of the night - Russian steam back, or banya (sauna). It was amazing, and there was just enough snow to bake in the banya and then roll in the snow! 😃Sergey’s Channel: 🤍 🎥Russian Food Tour of Moscow: 🤍 👕T-shirts and caps: 🤍 Thank you to Sergey from Real Russia (🤍 for taking us on this Soviet Union / Russian Food tour of Saint Petersburg, Russia. It was an amazing day. #Russia #RussianFood #SaintPetersburg Pyshechnaya - This is one of the most legendary places to eat donuts in all of Russia. And they’ve preserved their style, recipe, and even price from the Soviet Union period. At first I thought just a couple of these Soviet donuts would be fine, but Sergey reassured me we needed a plate of them. He was right, they are easily the world’s most addictive donuts. And they only cost $0.23 per donut. Must visit when you’re in Saint Petersburg, Russia. Café Singer - House of the Books - Next since we were in the area, we went to Café Singer, a legendary cafe and restaurant. We mainly went to see the heritage and view. Food and coffee were alright, not the best. Kvartirka - Soviet Restaurant - This was probably the best meal of the day. Kvartirka is again a Soviet / Russian restaurant set up like a house, and serving a mix of dishes popular during the Soviet Union period. I tried the borscht and the Chicken Kiev both of which were quite delicious and homely. An amazing meal and nice environment. Stolovaya № 1 - Soviet Canteen - Finally to finish this Soviet Union food tour of Saint Petersburg, Russia, we ate at one of the cheapest meal options in the city - a Soviet style canteen. You walk through the line, choose the dishes you want, and pay for what you eat. It was a good experience, and delicious food. Total price - 229 RUB ($3.59) Again, a huge thank you to Sergey from Real Russia (🤍 for taking me on this food tour! 🎵MUSIC: 🤍 🤍 —————————————————— 🍌Banana Chips are available now worldwide!! 🤍 👕Get t-shirts and caps: 🤍 📷Camera gear I use: 🤍 —————————————————— 📱FOLLOW: Instagram: 🤍 Facebook: 🤍

😃Chef Vladimir: 🤍 🎥Russian Food Tour of Moscow: 🤍 👕T-shirts and caps: 🤍 Thank you to Chef Vladimir (🤍 Boris Zarkob (🤍 and the entire White Rabbit (🤍 team for hosting me on this amazing day of Russian food! Breakfast at Chef Vladimir’s house - To begin this amazing day of Russian food in Moscow, we were invited over to Chef Vladimir’s (head chef of White Rabbit Moscow) for breakfast. Some of the White Rabbit family were there, and they were cooking a full Russian feast for breakfast. Along with huge amounts of Russian black caviar and baked breads, the highlight for me was without a doubt the smoked beef borscht, by far the best borscht I’ve ever had in my life. No other borscht I had throughout Russia even came close to the flavor of this. It was an amazing Russian food breakfast and time to meet new friends. Lunch at Gorynich Restaurant, Moscow, Russia - This was completely unplanned until right before going - Chef Vladimir said I should go to Gorynich Restaurant for lunch in order to taste their Russian rye bread, which they bake fresh there. Fantastic restaurant in Moscow, and the bread blew me away, best rye bread I’ve ever had in the world. White Rabbit - Not only one of the best restaurants in Moscow and Russia, but one of the best restaurants in the world. White Rabbit has a unique theme - Alice in Wonderland - rabbits and fairytales, and with an amazing view of Moscow. Here was the menu we tried: Coconut and linden Sunflower and smoked caviar Scallop, carrot, raspberry Russian pickle, sour cream and honey Sea urchin, potatoes, tangerines Green tomatoes, milk mushrooms Cabbage, caviar, champagne Black cod, kvass and artichoke Quail, egg and corn Salad with lettuce, avocado and onion Beets, burnt hazelnuts Birch bast, condensed milk Russian berry Russian caviar, powdered sugar Chef Vladimir Mukhin - White Rabbit - The meal and entire experience was beyond epic, absolutely stunning. It was an education on Russian food, and truly flavors that blew me away with taste, and combination of ingredients. Presentation was beautiful, but the flavors and surprises are what really stood out. An amazing Russian food meat at White Rabbit and I would highly recommend it as one of the world’s best restaurants. 🎥Russian Train Food: 🤍 👕T-shirts and caps: 🤍 During my visit to Saint Petersburg, Russia, I wanted to visit a local market. So we walked over to a market that wasn’t far from the hotel where we were staying. I wasn’t sure what to expect, but are always one of my favorite places to explore. #Russia #RussianFood #SaintPetersburg Mix of cultures, flavors, ingredients, and foods - Something I was happily surprised about was the mix of cultures represented at the market in Saint Petersburg - there were a mix of people mainly from former Soviet countries like Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan and the food represented that. After walking around the market for a little while, we then stopped to eat some Russian pickles from a friendly lady. Her pickles were delicious. Next I tried a bowl of meat and potato soup with dill. In the end I figured out they were from Tajikistan. Kazan Cathedral - Russian Orthodox Church - Next up on this travel guide tour, we visited Kazan Cathedral, one of the iconic landmarks of Saint Petersburg. We proceeded to walking around the Church of the Savior on Blood - Russian Orthodox Church, and finally St. Isaac's Cathedral. Saint Petersburg, Russia is truly an amazing city and wonderful to walk around. Russian Vodkaroom No. 1 - Russian Restaurant - Finally to end this food and attractions tour of Saint Petersburg, Russia, we had dinner at Russian Vodkaroom No. 1, an excellent Russian food restaurant known for its food and vodka. 5,822 RUB ($91.28) - Total price for everything 🎵MUSIC: 🤍 —————————————————— 🍌Banana Chips are available now worldwide!! 🤍 👕Get t-shirts and caps: 🤍 📷Camera gear I use: 🤍 —————————————————— 📱FOLLOW: Instagram: 🤍 Facebook: 🤍

The restaurant «Podvorie» in Pavlovsk is often called the most Russian restaurant. It's famous not only with Saint-Petersburg citizens, but those who live far outside its limits. Igor Vukolov learned secrets how to prepare shchi* from sauerkraut, pickle cucumbers and bake duck with apples.
