A truly gifted artist whose playing thrilled fans all over the world for six decades. He maintained his edge as a razor sharp and innovative guitarist until the very end--an end that came too soon. I've seen Jeff in concert 6 times and his sublime playing will continue to ring in my ears until it's my time. Rest in Peace, Jeff. Godspeed.

RIP. JB. Bacterial meningitis. I caught it when I was 50 and I felt horrible with an uncontrollable fever peaking at °106. It was the first time in my life that death seemed close. That changed me; I feel mortal now. The healthcare I got here in the USA was abysmal from beginning of my illness to the end. (USA #1 - yeah, right - I despise the Republican Party/the Right-wing and what they've done to this country and it's people with their policies, especially over the last 40 years). Anyway, this illness nearly did me in at a relatively healthy 50 years of age; I wouldn't want to get it at 78. Always wash your hands before relaxing or eating and don't be ashamed of masking-up in certain crowds - bacterial meningitis is another one of those that is quite contagious.
