I definitely want to get the whole kript series. The shapes are just so fun! The black took me about 21 hours to do, but I enjoyed the experience so much!
I found a “red menace” puzzle at the thrift store for $2.50, it also had a Polaroid of it completed with the date “4/1/81” on the back
Red
i might not be a puzzle guy but i say; build more pink puzzles! WE NEED. THE PINK. PUZZLES!
FYI, I am in a puzzle group on facebook and someone just posted a pic of their recent vintage finds and they have the Red Menace, the yellow one, and a green one in the same series (same box design as the other two) called Green Fog. Not sure if you knew it exists but thought I'd let you know just in case.
Only single colour puzzle I remember doing was the red "one tough puzzle" in the 1980s, and you have featured that on another vid.
Have you looked in the Nineties version of the Krypt puzzle? Is it similar?
If Beatles’ fans want good Beatles’ puzzles, get the Ravensburgers puzzles! They are more fun as well and will delight fans with all the little Beatles’ things on the designs.
Exhale onto a microfiber cloth to use the warmth and humidity of your breath to lightly rub away the grime on your box. This method works great on cardboard and paper products.
omg when i saw the intro i was like "why would you mix them together?? solid color puzzles are already hard enough!" but then realized how easy theyh would be to separate hahaha
Im doing the purple passion one right now, its so hard and Im so happy that you have one, have you done it idk yet but ahhh im dying
Karen wants the brown puzzle and finally she found one on ebay, and is like well i dont wanna pay $400 for an extremely rare puzzle
So here's a little tidbit. Those bags of pieces were sealed using a bag taper, which you can still get today. I used one at my very first job, sealing little bags that contained a specific amount of prizes to be sent to school carnivals with the carnival games.
It’s not quite solid colour but close enough… I’m working on the SureLox Colossus “Glowing Echo” puzzle right now. It might be the first puzzle to defeat me. 3000 pieces of various shades of brown 😅 Maybe you would fare better than me…
2008 is almost 15 years ago so it’s getting there! Although I wish it wasn’t because that’s when I graduated high school! And it’s making me feel so old!! But I too am a 1990 baby! But in April! 😊♈️and lastly so that means you are just missing orange and you’d have the whole rainbow of solid puzzle colors right??! Unless you count indigo but I think that is so close to blue or purple!! Anyway really have enjoyed watching your videos and I really wanna get more into puzzling! I used to enjoy doing them with my Meemaw and a great memory too! Sorry such an all over the place comment I’m sure you won’t get around to seeing but I’ve learned so much about jigsaw puzzles who knew?! 😊
Hi Karen! I just recently found your channel and I’m really enjoying these videos! Thank you!!!
I’ve noticed in a couple of your videos you mention buying puzzles on EBAY. How can you tell if you’re purchasing a quality product? For example, I saw the same 9000 piece Ravensburger puzzle, both said rare but there was a difference of a couple hundred dollars between the two. I haven’t bought on EBAY before so I was wondering how you can spot a legit puzzle. Thank you!!!!
Hi Karen, object conservator here! If you haven't already tried to tackle cleaning the 'mirrored' puzzle box, I'd be happy to lend my expertise regarding cleaning paper objects. I would just need a bit more info on the puzzle box itself... so please feel free to hit me up!
Well, at least they didn't call it "The Yellow Menace"....oof. Solid color puzzles aren't really my thing, but I loved Buffalo's "Greatest Jigsaw Puzzle of all Time" series. They were three puzzles where all of the pieces are the same shape and each piece has a another square piece in the middle. I think you'd have fun with those.
Ive seen a vintage SPILT INK 250 pieces all black puzzle by Mensa's - keep a eye out on ebay a few sold failry cheap!
