So on the topic of like... changing textures and stuff in game. Depending on how they programmed it initially, it could be much harder to simply "swap out" a texture for another. But because they probably have the source code of the engine, imo "engine limitations" are stupid and can be fixed by just implementing the things they're limited by...

People already do this with open sourced Unreal Engine 5, so why not do this with WoW. I get that probably nobody working there has built the engine but it's not hard to reverse engineer the code if they're working in a position like that.

Just my thought tho.

I hope DF is good, I'm on such an MMO dry spell and have such a craving to lose myself in an MMO again. I bought DF last night and the Evoker is very fun to play and it seems like it's going in the right direction, I just hope they don't add someone stupid Xpac only content (ex: Artifact, Heart of Azeroth) type item that you need in order to be competitive with every one else on the meters but than is completely useless post Xpac and just turns into a wasted spot in my bank, I mean at least the Artifact weapons can be mogged now so there was at least some kind of redeeming quality to them. Oh well only time will tell I guess.
I think Blizz is really losing out on $$ by not bringing WoW to console, FF9, FF14, ESO, Tera, Neverwinter all did it and are more than playable. They would reach such a bigger audience because a lot of ppl can't afford to build a PC to play WoW.

why does it have to come to consoles? Movement between PC and consoles is completely different. Take MW2 out right now. They have aim assist for controllers to help compensate for the quick aiming that a mouse offers. The same thing will have to happen with movement in wow. There is a lot more that would have to happen outside of console and PC to make this happen. I really don't see why console players would want it on console. Everybody wants all these changes to wow and wow is dying and add this do that blah blah.

Combine groups. Then you can change the with and make it go down. It's not the same but closest to it.

WOW shouldn’t be on consoles because of the difference in skill/ hot keys. Console players would be at a disadvantage compared to PC and it would drag down raiding groups and fracture the community.
