I don't agree at all with his idea of love. Love is sacred and people feel it differently. Many people abuse religion, in the name of culture. Maybe he had a break up so was happy to marry his so called best friend. Marriage is a personal right of two people. Islam gives them that right. In Pakistan u need to consult entire world for wrong reasons like physical standards, money, cast and religious beliefs. Two people as long as they have 2 witnesses are in their complete right to marry who they want. Its psychological slavery to convince everyone for ur own marriage wen in fact u don't even need a maulvi, if people learn to say their own Nikah. It is a sacred promise between two individuals. Nobody's business apart from 2 people who want to live their life together. People are these days struggling in Pakistan to get married for the very same reason. Families keep objecting as no body is ever perfect for them. Nobody is ever good enough for their children. You get one life Only so live the way you want. No wonder there are regrets, tensions and extra marital affairs so common these days. People have rather too high expectations from women. Parents respect is there but it does not mean children rights get violated. There is a limit to domestic abuse which is often Psychological. These people sit on media and then all of them act like perfect Muslims and perfect obedient children. I agree that u think, before u get married but there r far too many people in Pakistan who just want to make other lives hard than being accepting and having tolerance for someone who thinks differently. Be accepting and Be kind. If someone's wants to practice their rights then don't put mountains of guilt on them as it is done in our societies.
