Let’s get started with AMD. ever since the launch of Ryzen CPU’s I’ve been personally super interested in their integrated graphics. It started with the 2200 and 2400G that went up to 4 CPU cores, and up to 11 Vega cores. Then we had the 3200 and 3400G which had the same setup. Now, for some reason, past that with the 4000g series and 5000g series of chips, the Vega graphics were maxed out at 8 compute units. I mean sure, they were still better because of the super high clock speed, but still, I was a little disappointed that they dropped the 11 Vega core versions. Anyways, Why am I talking about this? Well, now that its the end of vega graphics for APU’s we’ve been waiting for AMD to drop their RDNA-based ones. So far, with all the information that was dug up through drivers and leaks, we thought that the first to pop up would be with RDNA 2. I mean the steam deck got it, the consoles got it, so it would make sense. But it looks like AMD is going to go straight to RDNA 3 here. Not only that, but the specs look pretty good! This information comes from Kepler over on Twitter, a reputable source in data scavenging, and he says that Phoenix, the codename for the next-gen APU, will be sporting RDNA 3 graphics. Now, this breaks the roadmap we’ve had for years now but it's still expected that it would feature a Zen 4 CPU. It could be Zen 3+ Since I mean the new 6000 series laptop chips are compatible with DDR5 memory, and APU’s are usually just laptop chips with a higher TDP, so it could be either but im leaning on Zen 4. #zen4 #amd #rdna3

Bye bye intel, now amd inside
and RDNA 4 will finally catch up to NVIDIA . RDNA 1/ RDNA 2/ RDNA 3/ RDNA 4 . Seems like marketing to get you to upgrade , no way AMD could not do it in one step
I have been waiting for this. With the events of the last few years my interest in building a high end gaming PC is about zero. I have been considering building a SFF ITX PC with the 5700G but I may hold out for the 7700G to drop. I would be using it more as an HTPC for streaming on my home theater than for gaming. Thanks for the video.
My 5700G blew me away. Wow, smooth performance, windows taskbar doesn't EVER freeze like with some NVIDIA gpu's, and it takes up so much less space! I built a freakin awesome mini PC and love it! Three months solid working great already. I even flew around the world with it because it's so small.
Nvidia is GGed
Will APUs be able to mine crypto like dedicated graphics though?
cant wait for handheld gaming on this apu
New apus need hbm pim
I think I understand why AMD capped vega cores on their new APUs. If they hadn't done that their GPU division would have some trouble selling lower end cards like the rx 6400 and rx6500 xt
If the desktop 7000 APUs get RDNA3, it would literally kill NVIDIA and make people swarm to owning these more than Intel.
AMD is killing NVIDIA and Intel with one release.
if they make a ddr4 750 mobos then it will be a great deal, the price of ddr5 ram is massive right now
nvedia can kick amd and intel butts here by just making their low end gpus faster than apus by a factor of 1.2-1.5
Nvidia will answer with a 1750 2gb card
I have to say, I am disappointed in zen4 mem clock ceiling. It may look impressive at the moment to most people. But, by EOL it will be the bottle neck that holds it back. It wouldn't surprise me to see ddr5 that runs at 9600 Mt/s by EOL.
Waiting for the 20+ iGPU core cpu vatiant, 6 core cpu is fine 8 is good too but more has not that mutch of a point(cpu clock at stock 4,5 and will oc it to 5,2 and iGPU understand they comestock st 3ghz so hopefully can oc it up to 3,6 but 3,3 is also real good).
Have powerful passive cooling system on my conputer, my whole pc is more quiet than the abinant backround noise in the building and corrent APU at max load and long stress only has gone up to 72C in hot summer days, usually a 33to 42 at low to medium load and up to 66c while gaming.
Still have the 2200g dainy driver, also game on it, 1 game open atm. perfect on linux.
Not sure, but I felt background music to be a bit louder. I am running a Ryzen 4650g and really happy with performance. If RDNA 3 based APUs does land ( Not only for OEMs) I will build a tiny p.c with those.
So ray tracing on APU is possible. That is something.
