Does SeaFoam actually work in a vehicle? The ultimate test-a 30-year old truck with noisy lifters and horrible oil pressure! This engine sounds like a 1990s era diesel! Did this stuff work? This is such a great channel. You are doing very useful and worthwhile work.
EGR is one of the worst ideas ever.
Precision fuel injection.
Cold air, warm fuel, and an efficient head design.
That results in power and fuel economy.
Not EGR. An engine thrives on fresh air just like us.
Can you PLEASE 🙏 do a video on Ford 5.4 3 valve engine problems??🙏🙏😁
I really love how objectively you do your tests. Love ya bud😁
Too bad it can't fix the fender too.
Is this better than liquimoly jectron Injector cleaner
Didn’t work for me :(
I actually ruined my 2002 Silverado with Sea Foam. Dosed the tank per the instructions in the parking lot of Menards and truck died on the way home. Had to get it towed the rest of the way. Ended up being a clogged catalytic converter. Who knows if the cat was on its way out, or if the sea foam just broke loose a whole bunch of gunk all at once. Either way, pricey repair. Probably worked great, but not without risk unfortunately on old, used, trucks with questionable maintenance histories.
Now you can hear the idler pulley winding
Great vid thanks. FYI, I've used Marvel Mystery Oil in the carb to pick up lifters before. Ton of smoke for about 15 minutes but it worked.
I thought same thing, but it does work well....
How long will that improvement last?
I'm on the fence with the seafoam for the injectors because of hearing mixed things.
I have a 2010 Honda Accord, 4yl. 90,000mi. Pickup is about what I’d expect for it.
Would it benefit from a bottle of Lucas or Seafoam every other fill-up for a month, or should I also spray Seafoam into the spark plug openings and see if it improves?
I realize this vid is old but wanted to add a story. One of my older 4cyl cars at 250k miles had like new compression on three cyls and below spec compression on one. On the advice of a mechanic friend I took out the plug for that cyl and sprayed in seafoam until it puddled on the piston. He said I may have a stuck ring. I did this three times over a week while the car sat, testing compression each time. 4th try. BOOM compression up to match the others and still running today. I changed the oil right after to get that stuff out. Word to the wise... when you run the engine to burn this stuff out do it AT NIGHT so your neighbors dont spaz and call the fire department.
Wow wow wow!!!!
Good job 👍 always like your honest reporting. Please keep up the good work.
I did 2 oz to gal and it cleaned my injectors for real! Car was stumbling on start up and idle, etc. Cleaned it RIGHT up. I thought I needed new injectors.
We used to replace 1qt of oil with 1qt of atf and it really scrubs the lifters since it’s a detergent. You can leave it in until next oil change.
