Apparently the experience of some immigrants in my country:
- Company: "Congratulations, You can have this job! However, with your status, you first need to show us a resident permit before we can sign the work contract "
- Municipal / governmental administration: "You need first a signed work contract*, so that you can get the *resident permit "
How is this supposed to work?
Just wait, it gets better shortly after you tick the experience box - "we're looking for someone younger". "But I can't magically be younger?" "Sorry, we're looking for someone younger." Hope humanity does away with jobs (as in employment) in whatever future awaits us. Go back to doing what needs to be done, help who needs help, but outside of "employment" and prostituting oneself to be employed, and doing things you wouldn't be doing unless you were paid to do them.

This is nothing new, when I graduated 2 decades ago it took me over a year to get a job with the same excuse as seen here.
One company gave me a chance and almost 20 years later, I got a contract at their head office in Switzerland (I contract now) and I met my very first boss, the one who gave me that chance, all that time later in a different country working for the same company.
YEA WE NEED A JOB TO GAIN EXPERIENCE AND IF WE HAVE TO NO EXPERIENCE WE CANT GET A JOB THE MATH ISNT METHING OH I MEAN MATHING 😏
This is why there used to be apprenticeships. Bring back a good idea.
