Regarding that last segment, it's your friendly neighborhood libertarian here to give you the actual, unbiased reasons you're seeing the right act the way they are.

One, the left has made it abundantly clear that their goal is to eliminate every other political party out there. Greens, Constitutionalists, and other smaller parties have been suppressed into almost non-existence, Biden unfoundedly referred to libertarians as domestic terrorists, and now the left is saying that any right wing values need to be snuffed out, not just those like Trump.
Two, the left's attempt at abolishing the 2A and confiscating all firearms. Not just that ideal alone but how the left will blatantly lie about stats. .. Or recently, pressure fed agencies to hide stats that hurt their agenda, specifically Bloomberg demanding that the CDC hide stats on self defense shootings... Also how politicians have been lying about ballistics to scare the average person who doesn't know shit about guns.
Three, how the left will talk about extremists and violence, talk about Jan6, but will completely ignore the billions in damage done during the 2020 riots by Antifa and BLM (talking about the organization that grifted millions in donations, not the movement). Or how Antifa took over six blocks of Seattle and walled it off.

There's a lot more to talk about here but this post is already too long. And before anyone wrongfully accuses me of being a conservative, a MAGAtard, etc., just don't. I critisize them just as heavily as I do the left, and if Philly D was unbiased and critisize the left as well, I'd do it here.

I love that you bring up that no one cares between fame and infamy. But this wasn't from social media, it's from conservatives. In the 80s-90s the Satanic Panic really propelled this infamy can make you valuable ideology. Bands that weren't evil, weren't doing anything harmful, pegged as satanists and making listening to the music that much more edgey and cool. This excelled into what it is now. Any infamy can make you famous now at least then it was innocent people being marked as bad people just for their looks,styles and art. Thats the sad part is the people who didn't want a future like this created it themselves.

The ONLY reason anyone over 80 is working is because they HAVE to. They will say something like "I just couldn't stay at home and wanted something to do". But that's the classic keep your head down and work attitude of that generation. They are working because they have to. Even the ones who volunteer are doing so because it helps them.
