Aaron's tips for your first Warmoth body or neck.
I wish you guys would offer a Steinberger GM2 body with a Floyd Rose route.
Great points Aaron! I've put together a couple parts guitars, and I agree more or less. I do think this bordered on a tone wood debatable video, but that's really for another time isn't it? lol
Great suggestion! But why wonder if it's ok for beginners to try basswood bodies? I guess basswood is also pretty common
Good advices, thx.
Hi Aaron! Awesome videos by the way! Hey I was just wondering if a Gotoh 510 is compatible with a 1 5/8th nut width? Thanks so much, and Keep on PICKIN!😎
kooL surfcaster guitar 🙂
xmn2UpP9JKM&t=2m25s 2:25 - The fix for these things is, do it right the first time.
My JB is an example. 19 y/o, still plays perfecto mundo deleto, and looks awesome.
I plan on coming to you guys so that I can order star shaped body because I can't afford to go out and buy a custom shop charvel star like the 80s ones I saw that you guys have the bodies and I'm going for it
Bummer that just blew my idea out of the water. I was hoping for a rear-routed tele with a hardtail bridge, as opposed to a traditional tele bridge where it's all one piece (like you said). I was going to go for a rock-n-roll, hard-tail tele that I could easily swap out the pickups on... 🤔
My first real build was 8/4 alder. It was very forgiving and easy to work, but it had a low-mid muddiness to it and in the end I gave it away.
I don’t see taped off natural binding on the site. Is that no longer an option?
Sooo... I suppose building a first guitar with a Floyd Rose tremolo bridge is out of the question then? 😅
Do that Sea Foam Grang?
Great advice, love what you have done with displaying some of your vinyl need to do the same.
I cant play shit.... I just wanna build one. That Black Korina body with the Black to Clear burst in satin finish is a thing of art! I couldnt play it, but would love to look at it everyday
What about paint ?
Great insight
I haven't built a guitar from the bottom up, but I've customized a lot of pawn shop specials that I've acquired. My dream Warmoth build is a walnut Musiclander body with a bubinga neck, purpleheart fretboard, and single DiMarzio Super D in the bridge (cream, of course). I'm kind of done with vanilla sounds -- time to move up!
On a rear loaded Strat, are the control holes and switch hole in the same places as they would be on a pickguard? I was considering getting an obsidian wiring kit but they have to be in exactly the right place
