stopping at parallel is also hard because the leverage is the worst when femurs are longest laterally.

I actually am weaker if I don’t squat to depth, every time I try to half squat I struggle with the weight but I can squat to depth no problem. Maybe its the small bounce I get at the bottom

Your deep squat should always be trained separately from your heavy lift. Deep squats are important but for a whole separate reason. Deep squats are very important just not in max lifts alone. Train that Deep squat but for the right reason!!!
The Guy narrating this video should not be listened to if you ever hope to survive power lifting.

Matt what do you think about Jordan Syatt saying that training box jump helped him with deadlifts? He said that a box jump PR meant a deadlift PR. This is to be stronger and not bigger necessarily.

I try not to think too much about my depth. I go as deep as I can without losing brace and still getting the stretch reflex. It's not ass to grass, but it is below parallel. When I try to consciously try to change my depth, either going lower or not going as low, i lose strength

I'm confused as to peoples definition of ass to grass, I've always thought "if I was in a field would the grass tickle my arse right now". No disrespect cause its a strong ass squat but these weren't even close to that point

About 15 years ago I started squatting deep enough to where my butt can rest on my achilles. Stronger, better mobility, and little to no pain since.

I feel a bit of discomfort when trying to cut range at certain depths, it might be me lacking proper queues. I guess I’m not really in a hurry to figure it out cuz ATG feels so nice lol
